Unfortunately after setting up and running this site for a long time, I have not been able to maintain it for years now. I do not have time to deal with customers and site problems. DIGITAL DOWNLOAD orders should still work in the mean time, but please do not order physical items. I'm sorry to all customers who have tried to reach me recently.
Economy picking, or sweeping? You make the call. Either way, a very effective way of breaking up these predictable arpeggios.
This example is taken from the song "Centurion 3" from my debut album "Mr. Stork." Nothing out of the ordinary as far as arpeggios, it's simply a chromatic progression using major and minor patterns. The difference is the manner in which i break them up. Pay close attention to the picking.
I also use a circle-like motion whilst breaking these arps up. This takes no effort what-so-ever, but does take a little getting used to. Practice VERY slowly with a metronome until the motion becomes familiar. Good luck.
