Hello,

I'm rather new to these forums and website, but I'm far from new from the guitar. I'm twenty years old now, and I started playing guitar at the age of twelve. I've been looking around for new sources of inspiration and knowledge. My favorite band, if you can't tell by my avatar, is Iced Earth.

I also have a question regarding the setup of a guitar. I almost feel ashamed to ask this, but where could I find a good site or book that would educate me in setting up a guitar to my preferences? (Ex. setting the action, adjusting the truss rod...)

Thank you,

Shane

Im not in to finely set up guitars..IMO if it doesnt brake lots its got no soul.......many of my guitars have already made it into pieces, mainly from my experimentation with thier setups, I consider Vai one of the greatest guitarists in the world, and some of his guitars have the pick-ups taped on.lol...who says Vais got no soul.HAHAH....... but this looks like a good book for the techie

Welcome aboard mate, there is a great website called Ibanez Rules (search it in google) which has a huge picture guide on settingup a guitar, from cleaning, to action, truss rod adjustment, spring tension, neck relief, etcetc, and its free, great site, use it everytime i gie my guitar a proper tune up.
