My name is Rahul Mukerji and I live in Rockville, Maryland, U.S.A. I'm a software programmer who enjoys making music, sketching, cartooning and photography. I also have a penchant for tinkering with Linux, Web Designs and other technical things for recreational purposes.
I've collaborated with people on different musical projects. I've been involved in indo-fusion, bollywood, flamenco, jazz-fusion, progressive metal and radio-friendly rock projects over the last few years. I'm always looking to extend my musical boundaries. I currently play in a fusion band: Iritis.
I've had the honor of having been featured in Guitar Player Magazine, had my music be a part of a movie's soundtrack, had my music played over the radio and opened for the B-52's.
As a sketch artist I've had the pleasure of participating in DC's fantastic art show: Artomatic and have been featured on the Gawker Artists website.
I hope you find the material I put up here useful and supplemental to your musical journey and I wish you the very best in your own endeavors.
Press Reviews:
"Rahul employs a shimmering acoustic and a bell-like clean tone to craft a light and airy piece that sits ever so nicely in the "feel good" pocket. There are no guitar histrionics or crafty arrangements, here - just breezy melodies kissed by empathetic tones. Its a very pleasurable seduction."
