Volume 1 introduces the novice & intermediate guitarist
to the pentatonic scale in all 5 positions, features 27
chapters that include 5 play-along exercise segments,
20 instructional segments (including guest soloists),
and more. The DVD is designed not as a "shred"
video - we've kept all examples to moderate speeds and
all exercises between 40 and 80bpm (16th notes) - or as
a collection of cool riffs, licks, & runs. Rather,
it is designed to teach concepts that can generate not
only thousands of licks, but endless compositional &
improvisational ideas for the beginner, intermediate,
and advanced guitarist of any style. It ends with an overview
of some of the concepts that will be covered in the second
and final "volume 2" DVD.

M. McLean is a professional guitarist from the southern
USA who has over 20 years experience as a performer and
instructor (with a roster of roughly 100 students ranging
from beginners to professionals). He is currently guitarist/vocalist
for the duo Alien Blue.
