--- Bits and Pieces ---

Due to system upgrades here at the Shred Academy HQ we have been out of action for the last week, but it's back to business as we prepare for a busy month with the competition lessons to go up in December. If you haven't heard - we are giving away cash prizes to the top 4 lessons, anyone can enter, and you can enter as many times as you want! Full details HERE.

Elsewhere, Nick Layton's winning track for the previous competition is available from his Artist page, there is a new poll, the flash intro's are gone, we've had our 100,000th visitor in less than 9 months, 2 new lessons are to go up in a couple of days, and 2 new guitar sites are in the works!

The video for Matt Hale's previous Legato licks has been added, as well as a new set of harmonic licks with video. There is also a short preview clip taken from the still-in-production Dean Cascione exclusive DVD, on the lessons page.

The competition prize has been updated:

Anyone can enter this competition, as long as you have something to share. There will be 4 winners:

Best Technique Lesson: $100 cash - best lesson based on technique or an exercise

Runner-Up Technique Lesson: $50 Credit - Runner up gets $50 credit for the Shred Academy shop

Best Non-Technique Lesson: $100 cash - best lesson that teaches theory or a concept, anything other than technique or an exercise

Runner-Up Non-Technique Lesson: $50 Credit - Runner up gets $50 credit for the Shred Academy shop

ALL GOOD LESSONS WILL BE:

- Published in the appendix of Shred Academy's new theory guide coming in 2007, including your biography and link to website (where applicable)

- Published on the Shred Academy website

- Entered into the competition for a chance to win up to $300 of cash prizes
